Her Story Your Story | UNICEF’s youngest Goodwill Ambassador | Muzoon Almellehan
Description
👧🎒 She chose a backpack, not a wedding dress. At 14, Muzoon fled war in Syria — and the only thing she carried was her schoolbooks. Because to her, education was the only future she had left.
In her refugee classroom, half her classmates disappeared. Why? Not sickness. Not escape. Child marriage.
Muzoon spoke up. She walked tent to tent, telling parents: “Let your daughters stay in school. Don’t let marriage end their dreams.”
She became UNICEF’s youngest Goodwill Ambassador — and a global voice for girls’ education.
🎧 This week on LaraGlobalPedia, meet the girl known as “The Malala of Syria” — and the 14-year-old named Yukura, who says:
“I lost 7 family members in a suicide attack. But I smile every day, because I get to go to school.”
